Preschool Holiday Crafts

The holidays are such a great time of the year. Families come together, delicious food is made, and we get to relax for a few days. Although preschoolers love the holidays because they get to visit with family members and eat great foods, they also get bored being cooped up in a house for a few days.

If you're looking for a great preschool fundraiser consider holding an auction where you offer the preschool holiday crafts your students have created.

If you have a preschooler who is looking bored, you can let them make some preschool holiday crafts. This is a great way for them to stay occupied for a few hours, and you can visit and keep relaxing.

There are hundreds of holiday crafts that your child can make with everyday house hold items. A popular idea is making preschool snowman crafts. First, you need to get cotton balls, glue, buttons, scissors, and construction paper. Then the preschooler arranges the cotton balls so that they are in the shape of a snowman. The next step is to take each cotton ball and glue it to a piece of construction paper. Then the child takes the buttons and glues them on for eyes and buttons on his stomach. The final step is to take other pieces of construction paper and make arms, a carrot nose, and a top hat. This is a fun and entertaining craft that will keep them busy for an hour and will add a nice decoration in the house.

If your child is looking to make crafts for others there are dozens of Christmas card crafts for preschool kids that they can make. First, they take a few pieces of construction paper and fold them in half. They can then decorate the front of the cards with anything they like. They can use glitter, buttons, cotton balls, or anything else. If they are going to use glitter you probably will want to supervise them. Then in the inside they can write or draw whatever they want. People enjoy Christmas cards when they are made with love and care, rather than a card that they can find at any store.

Most preschoolers can only spell a few words, so if they can write their names on each card that is more than enough. These cards may not seem like a big deal, but they are gifts that most people treasure forever.

The holidays are a great time to get your kids involved in crafts. There are hundreds of other crafts that they can make, just look on the internet and you will find whatever kind of craft that you want your kids to make.
