Celebrate Grandparents' Day is not just a fun vacation, kids cards and gifts to give to their grandparents. There is also a day of realization of how special grandparents and how long they have on the history of experience. Grandparents can tell many stories of the "old days" and children can gain an insight into what life was really like for people growing up in the first half of 1900. Make this the most beautiful day of your Sunday school classThis travel-oriented ideas.
Cards for Grandparents
Of course, giving gifts and making cards for grandparents to enjoy this special day. As an asset class, why not bring in an assortment of scrapbooking materials and let the children make handmade paper. Whether your students bring in pictures from home to get the cards more personal. Supply scissors, glue stick, adhesives, tapes and other materials brought in maps for life. This is ideal forClasses for all ages and class.
Make a family tree
This activity is especially fun for older children as a family is made to understand. Print a coloring page of trees from each site. Take the apple tree with red and green construction paper. Have children write the names of family members stick to the apples and the tree in the right order. Not grandparents on each side of the family on the top down to mom and dad, and then for children. LetChildren bring their pets in the facility, too! Done right, this would make a great gift for grandparents.
Bake a Treat
Consider baking a special treat for the children to their grandparents, such as muffins, cookies or other point in the home, such as "grandma to use." Store cookies in zipper bag with a special note or a poem attached to the outside of the bag. If you do not have access to a large kitchen at your church, cook the first legchildren have the time and decorate the bag of the class.
Class adopted grandfather
Take a trip this Sunday in a nursing home, grandparents can adopt children. You can accept being a woman or a man of your grandparents class. Some people in nursing homes Rarely visitors or gifts, and as a class, please be sure to fill a gap in a person's life. What a great way to start a project as on date of grandparents! But do not forget thissomeone special during the year. Do not forget to visit them often (perhaps the students' families will alternate each week) and send goodies for all occasions.
These ideas have given rise to several weeks other ideas that you could probably teach this in Sunday school. Great lesson this week include Abraham in his old age (Genesis 24-25), or a lesson in the book of Timothy. Encourage students to spend time with my grandparents on that day and time to appreciatewho I am and all the wonderful knowledge to keep them. God bless every grandfather!
